It has been so long :) Happy Easter to you all. Still doing well here, went out to eat for brunch today after Mass. Hubby really likes Old Country Buffet. I think it reminds him of younger days when he could eat and eat and eat. So he asked if we could go there and I figured I could get by eating out there for my first resteraunt experience since detox. It wasn't too bad, they have an incredible salad bar, real bacon bits, feta cheese, baby greens, spinach, lots of raw veggies and a few fruits too. I started with a salad and then I also had baked fish, with literally 5 french fries (David laughed at my five fries, I just wanted to taste them) and a tomato cucumber vinegary salad. I had a glass of cherry coke. (no, not diet, I just mentally can't get past the aspartame anymore)
And being that today is multiple feast days, Easter, Divine Mercy, St. Joseph, for dessert half a cinnamon roll and my half coffee half cappacino drink. Although I couldn't even finish the drink because I was full. And Anna helped with the cinnamon roll.
My tummy was a little rumbly afterwards and I did have make a dash for the bathroom once after we were home. I think next time I'll skip the cherry coke and cappucino, get an iced tea and find some fresh fruit for dessert. But really I wasn't tempted by the mashed potatoes and cornbread on hubby's plate. Or by his soft serve sunday (I dipped one of my fries into the vanilla ice cream, it was super creamy ;)
Working out is going . . . well not so good. Last week David was sick all week, Anna was getting over her cold and was crabby and it was cold and rainy. I only worked out twice. Hope to do better with it this week. I did juice great big batches of yummy fruit and vegetables and force them on my hubby. It wasn't too difficult. Even little princess sucked down some of the green veggie juice. We all loved the fruit juice. Just a handful of strawberries go a long way in apple/carrot juuice.
Good idea for your Champion juicer (along with the frozen pineapple sorbets :) We are freezing flavored Greek yogurt in ice cube trays and then running them through the juicer with the homogenizing plate. Greek yogurt tends to be thicker and creamier, they add extra cream. We have some flavored with honey and blueberry. It is waaaay too rich and sweet for us to eat for breakfast, but I am pretty sure it will be excellent as a soft serve frozen yogurt!
Also, here is a link about GAPS I am interested in reading up a little more on this.
