One more day to go!! I am so excited to chew again. Lost another half pound this morning, bringing the total to 7 lbs. Yes, this means I lose weight 3 times slower than Grandma. Hubby gained two pounds back from the four he had lost yesterday. Beautiful day, got to be out for a couple hours taking an extra long walk on the bike trails this morning and catching up with a good friend. Lovely.
I have to admit, today I made vegetable beef soup (actually it was in the freezer, which means Grandma made it and I just added more veggies and water :) but I didn't blend it at all. And I made cheddar thyme biscuits for hubby, I had to taste one. Just to make sure they were alright ;) So the chewing has begun a little early. But tomorrow I plan to stick with the plan for one last day. And then there is the transition period. And the fact that I need to steer clear of refined sugar and wheat products for a while longer.
One last "coffee break" tomorrow morning. I will probably continue to use the natural bristle brush before showers and on occasion take a "detox bath".
I will continue to post during the ten days following the end of my detox. Mostly to see the Bulchers' comments as they finish up their detox. All things considered this has been a really good, yet challenging, experience and I am considering detoxing for 7 days once or twice a year.
That's all for tonight. God bless :)
Hello Friends,
ReplyDeleteJoseph and I are plugging away!!! . I told Joseph we should do something FUN for our 8th month anniversary...so the plan is to do a coffee enema!! LOL I know, how romantic, huh? I just had to share that. We are about embark on our first coffee enema! We'll let you know how it is going. I had a lot of energy today which was great. Overall, I am feeling pretty good. Our last colonic will be this Saturday! Yeah!!!! and on Saturday, we will have one week left. What an accomplishment that will be. I think we'll celebrate with a big burger, french friends and Culvers!! Just kidding. Yet I have my days when that sounds SO good! I am also learning that I really don't care for the vegetable juice. Any other thoughts on the juice? Or a REALLY good recipe that you LOVE!!
Well, off I go..more to come!!
good for the two of you! Everything got kind of yuch at the end for me too. The juice, the soups, the supplements. I am so looking forward to a nice crisp salad!
ReplyDeleteSarah, I disliked the green juice also, unless it was loaded with red tomatoes, which were $$'s. When I completed the detox, I immediately began mixing 1/2 REAL green vegie juice (carrots, celery, lettuce, and a wee amount of garlic) and 1/2 walmart brand vegie juice. The label says it's only vegie juice and a little sodium so I'm okay with that toxin called sodium. This vegie drink is SO MUCH BETTER than any of the drinks I had during my detox. yep, it's cheating by adding sodium, but by adding 1/2 walmart vegie juice it is so much more satisfying that it was well worth it for me. If it's the taste of tomatoe/vegie juice you dislike, try adding more carrots, which would make it sweeter.
