Day 8 post detox :)
Had to count it out on my fingers. I forgot to mention it previously but the brain fog has completely disappeared since I have ended the detox.
Just three points to make tonight and then I won't be back on until Monday.
1. Refined carbs make me sluggish, tired and crabby. Refined carbs plus refined sugar. Disaster.
2. Had a cup of coffee earlier this week, well half coffee half milk, and almost immediately got a headache.
3. Kefir is super easy to make, I'm buying milk kefir grains online. It is a super probiotic, can be flavored and sweetened. Not sure if water kefir has all the same benefits, but it would be a healthy, naturally carbonated drink.
oops 4. Working out is not so bad, unless baby is up half the night because she is congested and Hubby is working long hours because of the Easter rush. After just a few days I am a little sore, but not as bad as I expected. And I can see/feel the results already.
Blessed Triduum to you all, see you on the other side!
Hi Friends,
ReplyDeleteIt has been a long time since a post. I have been fighting a cold for the past couple of days. :-( I hope I am going to be rid of this sooner than later. Our nieces and nephews on Joseph's side were sick over Easter. This is possibly where I got it.
Update on post detox...we have been doing well. We are doing some form of exercise every day either a walk, taebo or the rebounder. The other day we took a 2 mile walk that felt great! We're excited for the summer where we can walk more often!! As for the food, we are eating healthy. We love salads!! It is packed with raw vegetables and SO good!! We're going to be working with my parents on their garden so we look forward to some fresh veggies this summer. We have been having a lot of wild rice and chicken too! We are keeping it simple and picking recipes that don't require a lot of cost from the Nourishing Traditions Cookbook. We have had regular bowel movements. The salads & enzymes are helping a lot. We are also continuing to take some of our supplements.
One amazing treat that we had this week...we put frozen pineapple in our juicer! It was SO smooth! Jenny, Anna could very well really like that. We added some strawberies with it one day too. We want to try some other frozen fruit yet the pineapple tastes fabulous!!
We look forward to eating good foods. Culvers hasn't been tempting which is good. However sometimes a burger sounds SO good!! :-)
I hope all of you are doing well. :-)
God bless!
Happy Easter!!!
